Building Stark By Degrees Mission and Goals

More high school diplomas and college degrees will lead to higher-paying jobs and new employers in Stark County, Ohio. The numbers show we are growing in diploma and degree holders. Building Stark By Degrees will help our people to appreciate these achievements. This will inspire them to join the movement for more education.

Our goals at Building Stark By Degrees are to highlight the work of teachers, counselors and students as they work together to raise the level of educational attainment in Stark County.

We will do this by telling the stories of people whose lives have changed by pursuing educational goals. We will encourage educators to keep up the good work. We will provide information on how families can plan for college. We will persuade the business and philanthropic communities to increase their commitment to this movement.
